Act Two Writing Assignment
Task: Write a diary entry from the point of view of one character
Point of View of Nurse.
Dear Diary,
My, has everything changed in the passed few days. There has been so much drama arousing here and there about the craziest things. Is it possible that the feud between the two ruling families are finally coming to an end? Oh, I hope so. So finally my lovely Juliet can wed with the one she loves.
I am pretty fond of Romeo, that kind gentlemen. Bless his heart and soul. Though I do think Paris is the handsomer man, Juliet seems insanely in love with him, and thus, I shall be fond in him as well. They do cease to seek every opportunity to be together anyways.
I've been helping them communicate with each other lately, Romeo and Juliet that is. They've been trying to avoid the thought of having the two heads of the quarrelling families go to a little war on the streets because of their forbidden love. I'm not sure if I should be doing this. If I am caught, oh how dreadful to even think of it, but if I were, what am I supposed to do then? Do I tell them about Juliet's secret love? No, I could never betray my daughter. I love her even if she isn't my own. Though she kind of is, in a way. I'm much closer to her than Lady Capulet shall ever be! So what am I to do if Lady Capulet, or some other disdain servant in this building overhears my forbidden knowledge? Lie? May the Lord forgive for the lie I may told? Or is it even considered a lie if it's for a good cause? There seems to be no answer my problems.
It was like it was just yesterday I had raised Juliet from birth after the loss of my other one. She grew up so fast, and now she'll grow up even more once she marries Romeo - women grow by men. What a beautiful child they shall bare.
Anyways, you know who I don't seem to take a liking to? It's those two gentlemen that Romeo was with, Mercutio and Benvolio are their names I believe. Stupid gentlemen, always thinking they have the right to offend me like that. I'll show them, one more joke about sailboats, and I'll draw out my own sword!
Juliet shall be needing me soon, she'll probably want me to assist her towards her wedding, hopefully everything goes as planned. Thus I must go.
Love,
Nurse
