Hopefully it works now. And by the way, I used Powerpoint 2007 edition, which a lot of computers don't have, so I'm not sure how much of the presentation will be seen the same...

Act Four Writing Assignment

Task: Write a love poem (preferably in sonnet form).

Rhyme scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG
Ten syllables per line.
Iambic Pentameter - not really.

Your Typical Love Poem

So very deep the hole I've fallen into.
I see the sky, the very blue sky, above.
Where have I fallen that I'm never blue?
Maybe, yes? For you I've fallen in love.

Always, I hear you say that you love me,
Forever and ever, you'll always care.
Promise me, you will never go and flee,
Promise me, that you will always be there.

Like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle,
Like beautiful people more than just friends,
Just perfectly perfect and wonderful,
Just another great love that never ends.

Together we're wondrous like a sunset,
Beautiful. Like Romeo and Juliet.

Act Three Writing Assignment

A letter from Paris to Juliet.

Dear Beloved Juliet,

I hear delightful news from thy father! We shall bind in holy matrimony soon, very soon in fact if everything goes as well as planned. Oh how gracious the wedding shall be, and soon, I am hoping we may have something else to cherish other than our matrimony - a child. That is, if thy beloved shall agree to have a child that delivers us with even more happiness.
I do hear some news of rather the worrisome side. I hear you were reluctant to accept my offer of marriage. How painful to bare such a thought. I'm a good man, I truly am, so I will tell you the truth, all of it. Please, prepare and brace yourself for what you might read. I am an horable man, and I am truly not here to hurt you in any way, that thought shall never cross my mind ever.
I've always had a great dream, a dream to rule something of greater power. Indeed, I do in fact have my own side of our soon to be tied relationship to rule, but it just doesn't satisfy me quite enough. My family isn't as leading and powerful as yours.Of course, then there is the honorable Capulet, a great man to heart, and he has no son to leave his authority to. Doesn't it seem fitting that I, a seeker of power, be in contact with thy Capulet, a seeker of a son? Can't I be that son? Who else would be a greater fit to be his son than I? The pairing is nothing less than perfect. The only thing to keep me, your fiance, and thy Capulet, your gracious father, from our happiness is a mediator. Someone that can connect us in a way to get what we want. Can't this person be you? This isn't just for our happiness, but yours as well. Won't it be wonderful to make the lives of not one, but two of your closest loves a whole lot better? Also, you're riches will grow into more than you can imagine! Together, we shall buy the world, just for you. Your fame and forture will grow forever, and surely in the end you will not regret a single thing!
To tell you more of the truth. I do not love you. But that does that mean our marriage shall be put to a halt! Marriage isn't always based on love, but rather, perfect circumstance. Yes, it is true that I do not love you, but with this marriage we will! It shall bring us closer to each other until the love between us blossoms to the beautiful flower that you are.
I know you've changed your mind and have decided to marry. I just wanted to let you know the truth on what you're getting yourself into - happiness. You may interpret our marriage however you like, but this is how I want it to be, and it's with you.
Truly yours,
Paris
